The Community & Conference Centre at Sinclair Valley Community College

The Community & Conference Centre provides a central point of contact for the local community, with a range of services and facilities on site. It brings together a number of statutory and non-statutory organisations to provide a hub for activities, services and events.

The Centre offers a range of rooms suitable for a wide variety of uses including Board meetings, seminars, keepfit classes and children’s activities. The Centre is competitively priced with public transport close by and free parking behind the building. Concession www.unidus.org.au rates are available for charities and community groups.

In addition to the large event spaces, RVCC also offers a catering facility, CulinArt, led by Chef Michael Sippel. This full-service caterer offers an array of menu options from breakfast and lunches to dinners, receptions and buffets. The conference dining menus are designed to be as flexible and affordable as possible, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

RVCC’s conference rooms are booked in four-hour blocks and can be used for a wide variety of public or private meetings, presentations, news conferences and meal functions. Rental fees are based on room selection and length of use. Fees are waived for official meetings of government agencies, but cleaning and service charges still apply.

This unique facility, which sits at the heart of the town of Elkford, is a cultural hub for the community of 3,000 residents. The Centre enhances the community’s ability to deliver programs and host functions, focusing on delivering innovative educational opportunities that celebrate local culture.

The design for this community center incorporates the latest in sustainable construction methods, including the use of structural wood, to create a modern and functional space. The shear walls of the Centre were constructed with cross-laminated timber (CLT), an innovative material that is rapidly gaining popularity around the world for its strength and stiffness, as well as its environmental benefits.

The Community & Conference Centre is a state-of-the-art facility offering the best in professional meeting and gathering spaces, technology and client services. Located on Sinclair’s downtown campus, the Conference Center is known for its impeccable platinum-level service and versatility of spaces suitable for galas, corporate and nonprofit meetings, classroom training and theater-style presentations. The facility is managed for the College by nationally acclaimed, award-winning FLIK Conference Centers. Guests are welcomed by an impressive lobby and pre-function area; two banquet rooms; twelve flexible conference/meeting rooms; and the finest gourmet dining for all occasions. The Conference Center is the venue of choice for more than 400 clients and 100,000 individuals each year.
